This is a fine small mask from the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria. It shows an expressive facial expression, curled ears, a short beard and gritted teeth with a hole big enough to fit a cigarette.
Made of wood, hand drilled holes for the attachment of a costume, a well developed patina wit remnants of thick encrustation, min. dam., age cracks, signs of fine age and wear. Custom mounted on a metal base.
