A large fertility doll dressed in traditional fashion, representing a Samburu woman wearing a mporro necklace, which denotes her married status.

Dry wood, mat red patina, min. dam., rising from long straight legs wearing a leather apron, surmounted by a head with simplified facial features with glass bead eyes, ears and head adorned with strings of glass beads and a metal ornament, on MDF base.

The dolls are carved by the father and decorated by the mother. After having reached puberty, the young girls use them for practicing their later role of motherhood.
