Eskimo mask, Yupik, Nunivak Island, Alaska.

This is a small decorative Yupik Eskimo mask, probably dating from the 50's. It is depicting a human face with almond eyes, the mouth open with chin tattoos and more painted details, surrounded by a pair of bent-rod hoops, any feathers once attached now lacking.

Condition: cracks, min. dam., missing parts.

Diameter 25,5 cm - 10 inch.
