Power half figure, Kusu, D.R. Congo

This is a nice small female Kusu "kakudji" half figure wrapped with fabric apron, protruding belly button, deeply pierced ear holes and her magic charge on the head. The Kusu live in the east of the Congo.

Wood, dull middle brown patina, remains of red pigments, min. dam., cracks, insect caused damage, traces of abrasion, on wooden base.

Height without base: 11,4 cm - 4.5 inch.
