Female puppet rising from long strong legs, dressed with a broad belt, protruding navel, sloping shoulders merging into movable arms, above a long neck with a carved necklace there is an oval head with tribe-typical facial features and an elaborate coiffure.

This puppet probably depicts a young girl going through the initiation process. During this period adolescent females are spoilt and fed abundantly to enhance their appearance and assure their health and fertility.

Soft light brown wood, spotty patina, polychrome paint, missing parts (left foot and top of the coiffure), insect caused damage, slight traces of abrasion. On metal base.
