Standing figure, Yaka, Democratic Republic of Congo.

This is a fine old Yaka altar figure standing on one leg, special posture of the arms, crowned by a head with tribe-typical facial features and particular headgear.

Wood, middle brown patina, min. dam., cracks, traces of abrasion, on metal base.

Height without base: 21 cm - 8.3 inches.
